PureHTML achieves this by using the compression technology featured in
IE5 and Netscape, to compress web pages 'on the fly'. This dynamically
reduces download time and improves responsiveness.
As an example, with a typical webpage being
20,000 bytes in size, this would usually result in a download time of
7.14 seconds for a user using a 28K modem. PureHTML reduces this to about
2'048 bytes, resulting in a download time less than one second.
